Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Keepers is designed so your photos never leave your Mac. This policy explains, plainly, what that means.

We collect nothing

Keepers does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It has no user accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. The app has no network access whatsoever — your photos, their contents, and your sorting decisions physically cannot leave your computer.

Your photos stay on your device

All scanning, duplicate detection, and image analysis happen entirely on your Mac using Apple's on-device Vision framework. No image or file is ever uploaded anywhere.

Your originals are protected

Keepers opens your chosen photo folders in read-only mode. It cannot modify, move, or delete your original files. When you export a curated album, Keepers creates copies in a location you choose; your originals remain untouched.

Local storage

Keepers stores its catalog (file paths, metadata, and your sorting decisions) in a database inside its own sandboxed container on your Mac. Deleting the app removes it.
